Thanks for the compliment!  The background I have on the blog is a repeating image applied to the body tag with CSS.  For example:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;pre&gt;body {
background:url(&#039;images/yourbackground.jpg&#039;) top repeat-x #fff;
}&lt;/pre&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This bit of CSS will apply the background image to the top of the page.  Repeat-x will make the image repeat horizontally, so when you create your background, make sure that the left and right sides will match up evenly, to avoid a seam.&lt;/p&gt;

It is close to that on mozilla page: mozilla-europe.org/pl/
I was looking in their code for inspiration for my own pages :P and I suppse that its just bacground picture for some div, right? 
But how to be sure that this div will be always 100% of page width? I dont see anything doing that in their code...
