It looks like Winter is just about over here in Massachusetts, and I’m still wondering how it hit 74 in March. I’ve had these pictures laying around for awhile, and it’s been too long since my last post. Take a look! They are a combination of random pictures, a hike in Granville, MA, and some long exposures. I shot the long exposures out of my window, when it was just about pitch black. The pattern you’ll see across those shots is from the screen of my window. Had I known that the screen would have left that much of a pattern, maybe I would’ve gotten my lazy self outside into the cold..

I’m happy to see your blog so active lately! And I have to tell you that I really like the picture of the trees against the sky. I think the screen pattern adds a really interesting effect to the shot. It’s quite enchanting.
I really enjoyed the hiking shots, brings back fond memories to this arthritic old lady. Keep up the great work!

Hi Joella,
Thanks for the kind words! I’ve been trying to keep as active as possible, but it can be tough haha. The screen pattern, although accidental, does add another element to the shot.
I’m sure I will be having a lot more pictures from hikes soon, especially with the good weather on its way!
Hi Ryan
There is something about winter and snow that I find magical.
Guess it brings back memories of putting on my wellies, coat and scarf and rolling about in it….
As an adult I’ve done a lot of skiing and have seen views of snow covered mountains that stay with you forever.
The French Alps have peaks that look as sharp as needles.
Thanks for sharing.. if you get a minute, pop over to my blog.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Kieth!
Winter is really amazing. I’ve taken it for granted too many times, but now that I am older I find myself having such an appreciation for it.
When I was a kid I would cross country ski with my family, but haven’t in years. It’s a great way to experience some beautiful areas. Maybe one day I’ll have to make it to the French Alps, haha.
