This is a photograph of Los Angeles shot from the Griffith Observatory in Griffith Park. Griffith Park is probably one of my favorite places that I’ve been to since moving out here, and it really is beautiful in both daylight and at night time.. Well, smog permitting, haha.
Anyways, this is just a little teaser, I will be updating my blog with a bunch of new pictures soon!

Hey Ryan, certainly looks like you’re getting up in the world
It must feel pretty good getting up that high and being able to see so far into the distance, and those light look really pretty too.

Hey Sire,
Haha, yeah, I guess you could say that. Did you have a chance to check out the observatory when you were in LA? If not, I would definitely recommend it on your next trip! Night or day, it offers an amazing view.
Nope, I didn’t even know it existed and no-one I came across even mentioned it. I reckon the locals just take it for granted.
Perhaps the next time we’re lucky enough to be in that neck of the woods.

It’s funny how people take their every day surroundings for granted. Perhaps I am just not a full local yet, haha.
That’s a great shot. I might add a layer with some stars there – lol. LA and NYC are the only big cities I know where it’s a 50 / 50 chance to see stars on a clear night. Cheers -

Hey Mal,
Thanks for the comment! I didn’t even notice the lack of stars in the shot until you mentioned it, haha. It’s a rarity to see a lot of stars out here.. I’ll have to try to make it back to the Griffith on the next clear night and see if I can have some better luck with that, haha!
I like this little teaser
Greate Job!
Hi Alice,
Thank you! Now I just need to find the time to retouch the rest of these pictures, haha. I will have more up soon!
This pic reminds me of a famous snapshot that occurs during the intro of a certain night-time talk show (based in LA, of course). I’m not sure if you know which one I’m referring to…

Hm… I remember seeing a similar shot on the intro to Craig Ferguson I believe. Is that the right one? Haha.
Actually, I was thinking of Jimmy Kimmel. But, you could be right about Ferguson also; I hadn’t really studied his opening montage that closely…
Sonny.

Great shot, amazing how the city just disappears into the horizon.
Have you got any without the building on the right hand side?
Hey Joe,
I really need to get going on retouching the rest of my pictures, haha. I do have some without the observatory building, I’ll try and post them soon!
Wow! breathtaking view. It really looks lovely at night.

Just wanted to say sweet photo Ryan, I’ve got a holiday booked to Los Angeles (I’m from the UK) for November this year, can’t wait to get in amongst the hustle and bustle. Take it easy.
Hi Nick,
Thanks for the reply! I’ve never been to the UK, I would love to travel outside of the country some day. What brings you to LA? Have a blast, man!
Ryan
With th lights from LA, they can’t see lots of stars.
Haha, that’s a good point. Have you been to the area before?
I am just a very consummate artist and a lover of place girl. Anywhere I go I take pictures. I just can relate to you and your post. It just give me the pride that I have been to that place.
